Olin School of Business welcomes the Technology in Business Schools Roundtable!
It’s time to get your reservations for the 2016 TBSr Conference, hosted by the Olin Business School, at Washington University in St. Louis. The conference kicks off Monday evening, May 23, 2016, with a cocktail reception for members and guests at Moonrise Hotel (http://moonrisehotel.com/event-horizon/).
Conference sessions begin Tuesday morning May 24th with a look at Innovation at our Business schools. I’m planning on presentations about Washington University’s efforts at implementing Shared IT Services, with information about innovating your IT organizations to work with new Central IT models of service delivery. That afternoon the topic will be Collaboration. This includes collaboration using video conferencing, file sharing, and other new means of working with others.
In the evening we have tickets lined up for baseball, the Cardinals versus the Chicago Cubs (AT&T Rooftop Deck). This is the greatest rivalry in history of sports.
Wednesday May 25th will focus on Customer Relationship Management in the morning. We will look at what Olin has done, along with some broader industry trends. Just after lunch, a speaker from Cisco will discuss the next generation networks and what they hold for us. The afternoon’s focus will be on Customer Service, with a panel of CIOs from St. Louis corporations, discussing their efforts at delivering Customer Service. Again, that evening will have a social and dinner outing at the Magic Chef Mansion (http://magicchefmansion.com/), a local event space and residence.
Thursday May 26th will be our typical half day, but the focus will be on our careers, the careers of our people, and how we communicate value delivered to our organizations. Ouellette & Associates, an IT professional develop organization, will conduct a skills assessment session and a session on Value Communication. These sessions should be very interesting and will fit with our Tuesday sessions about Innovation in Business schools.Hotel Information:
